Pulled Pork Tacos is a slow cooker Mexican dish that has juicy pulled pork slow-cooked for hours along with spices to bring that juicy and delicious flavor. In this recipe, pork is marinated in spices, slow-cooked, shredded and then served along with shredded lettuce and topped with cream and all stuffed in soft tortillas. So, if you’re a pork lover, just read this recipe and make your taco-night more delectable and completed. You can prepare this recipe very easily in a slow cooker, oven or even in a pressure cooker.
Tips to make Pulled Pork Tacos
- In case of using the oven, preheat it to 160 degrees. Transfer the marinated pork in a medium-sized dish and cover it with the lid. After that, place the dish in the oven for about 4 hours.
Take a large mixing bowl and add all the marinade ingredients in it, whisk them well until combined. Now, combine pork and chopped onions in the mixture and mix them to coat well. Tightly seal the bowl and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Add pork and marinade in a slow cooker and then cook the pork on low flame for 6-7 hours. Once the pork gets tender and falls apart when poked with a fork, shred it using two forks.
In order to make pickled onions. Take a heatproof bowl and add the sliced onions in it. Add boiled water in it and leave it for 10-15 minutes with the lid on. After 10 minutes, drain the water and stir in white wine vinegar in the onions and let it stand for another 5 minutes.
Add the shredded pork in a pan or slow cooker and toss it along with the reserved marinade in it. Serve hot with warmed tacos, shredded lettuce and soured cream.
